For parents of 7- and 8-year-olds

Six reasons your 8-year-old will actually do the revision

No app can promise marks. These are six things built into TaniLearn that make it a game your child opens without being asked — and each one you can check for free.

Six reasons

What makes an eight-year-old come back to it

One figure and one screen for each — all from the real app.

  1. It doesn’t feel like a punishment

Stars, a weekly streak and level-up confetti, on up to 30 levels a subject. Quiz rounds in Play mode are timed; Learning mode has no timers, no scores and no wrong answers.

  2. Not “the same questions repeated”

Every round is generated fresh, and questions your child saw recently are held back — so it rewards understanding, not memorising the answers.

    160,000+ quiz questions

  3. Not “unforgiving to mistakes”

A wrong answer is not the end of it. Smart Review brings each mistake back after 1, 3 and 7 days for another go.

1, 3, 7 days later, each mistake returns

  4. Written for their age band

Every topic and question is written separately for ages 7–8 — in Maths alone that is 21 learning trails for this age. A seven-year-old and a thirteen-year-old see completely different material.

    5 age groups, from 5–6 to 13–14

  5. Friends you invite, not strangers

Play with Friends is a live quiz battle where everyone answers the same questions at the same time, by private invite only. Every child gets one game free.

    2–4 kids per battle

  6. Less evening fighting over homework

You set the rules once, in the Parent Zone: a daily limit in minutes or rounds, the topics they work on, and their level and recent rounds — behind a PIN your child does not know.

The first question

“Can an app help, or will scores and timers make her feel worse?”

You choose how much pressure there is. Quiz rounds in Play mode are timed, but Learning mode has no timers, no scores and no wrong answers, so a topic can be learned there first. Whether a wrong answer takes points off is a Parent Zone setting, and every mistake comes back after 1, 3 and 7 days for another go.

And you can find out for free: a free account includes one complete learning trail in every subject — no card needed. If you buy, a plan is a one-off 12-month purchase that never renews by itself, and you sign up with just an email — we never ask for your phone number to sign up.
