What Is a Noun?
A noun is a naming word. It names a person, an animal, a place or a thing.

Riya, Arjun, teacher, doctor, sister. Every one of them names a person.

Peacock, cow, goat, tiger, crow. Animal names are nouns too.

School, shop, park, kitchen, village. A place has a name, so it is a noun.
